Pilgrimage trip Saint Paisios (Agios Paisios) 

Saint Paisios the Saint (born Arsenios Eznepidis, born in Farasa Turkey, July 25, 1924, died on July 12, 1994 (69 years old) and was buried in the Holy Sanctuary of Saint John the Theologian in Souroti, Thessaloniki. The Holy Monastery is dedicated to Saint John the Theologian and Saint Arsenius the Cappadocian, whose relics are in the Catholic Church of the Monastery. The nuns of the Holy Monastery of Sourotis had the blessed Elder Paisios as their spiritual guide. The Elder was buried next to the church of Agios Arsenios. He was a Greek Cappadocian monk of the 20th century who became widely known for his monastic life and work. His classification as a Saint of the Orthodox Church was carried out by the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople on January 13, 2015 and his memory is celebrated on July 12, the date of his sleep. In 2017, he was declared the patron saint of the military weapon of the Transmissions, by decision of the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece.
